Proftor for Teaching Institutes

Schools, language schools, tutoring centres, and training providers set up a Teaching Institute in Proftor — the organisational home for teachers, Study Spaces, and study access.

What is a Teaching Institute?

A Teaching Institute is the organisational umbrella in Proftor. It brings teachers together, holds the Study Spaces they create, connects the students they teach, and manages the Study Credits that fund study access. A solo private teacher is also a Teaching Institute — simplified, with both manager and teacher access.

Schools — guided recall across subjects, managed centrally
Language schools — vocabulary and concept consolidation between classes
Training providers — recall practice between modules and courses
Exam preparation centres — structured practice before formal assessments
Private teachers — independent teaching service with their own Study Spaces and students

The Proftor Console is the manager's workspace

Managers administer the Teaching Institute through the Proftor Console. This is where they invite teachers, oversee Study Spaces, manage student connections, buy and allocate Study Credits, set billing rhythm, and view usage reports. Teachers work in the Proftor Studio — administration stays in the Proftor Console.

Study Credits fund study activity — not seats

Instead of paying for a fixed number of student licences, Teaching Institutes buy Study Credits in bulk. Credits represent real study involvement. One Study Credit covers one full Socrates-guided session for one student, consumed only after the student has meaningfully engaged — not simply by opening a link.

Fairer than seat pricing — two institutes with the same number of students may use very different amounts of study time
Unused credits roll over — for one additional billing period, giving institutes flexibility without waste
Seasonal Pause — institutes can pause credit issuance during genuine no-teaching periods, like summer break

Study Spaces define how access is funded

Each Study Space in a Teaching Institute can choose its own funding mode: fully institute-funded for all students, institute-funded only for selected students, or student/patron-funded where the institute provides curriculum but not credits. This flexibility supports both inclusive school programmes and optional premium courses.

Parent and guardian approval

For underage students, Proftor supports parent or guardian approval at the Teaching Institute level — not per teacher or per lesson. Once a parent approves the institute connection, authorised teachers may assign lessons through Study Spaces. Parents can follow activity and revoke the connection.

Better learning insight at every level

Managers see credit usage and activity across the whole institute. Teachers see what was remembered, vague, or missing at the Study Space level. Students see their own progress. These signals are available without reading individual responses or managing manual assessments.

Teaching Institutes organise teaching. Teachers create quality. Study Spaces deliver the service. Proftor connects them all.
